How does the scrapbook work in plain english?

Stefan Marx

You can enter Javacode in the scrapbook-window. Copy code from your methods. Enter some testing code here.

Then you have to select a portion of the entered code. This portion has to be correct java-code. You cann then execute the code and view the result in an object-browser. You can also replace the selection with the Result.

[FAQ Manager note] The point of the scrapbook is to help you with unit testing. You can run code as though it were contained in any class (use Page->Run in), allowing you to easily unit test methods in that or another class. It's also useful when learning Java, as you can play around with Java statements without writing a complete class.
