Chris Jericho has made headlines in recent hours by stating that he had COVID-19 last September, as did Nick Jackson. Despite this, he was seen on television during the weeks that, presumably he was infected but Jericho followed the necessary protocols in this situation.
This has been confirmed by Dave Meltzer in the last radio program of the Wrestling Observer. The surge of positives within the AEW staff could have been made in the recordings of September 12, and it also affected other fighters such as Lance Archer.
But despite appearing on television, Jericho fulfilled the 10-day mandatory quarantine after suffering from the virus since his appearances were already recorded, journalist Bryan Álvarez has confirmed. The time between recordings was two weeks enough time for the fighter to comply with the necessary measures.
Upon returning from quarantine, Jericho took another negative test, which is why he was able to fight and maintain his regularity in AEW Dynamite. This is not the case with Nick Jackson, who missed the post-outbreak recordings but he was in the following.
The latest information indicates that Jericho contracted the virus by the positive of a close relative and not at a concert by his group Fozzy that was classified as a great risk of spreading the coronavirus.
