Farmer Unions have objected to Delhi Police playing songs on loudspeakers at the Singhu Border where the farmers are protesting against the new farm laws gone by the Centre.

As per a press note from Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Samiti one among the stress of the farmers, before they will plow ahead with talks with the Centre, is to pack up the loudspeakers of the Delhi Police getting used to playing songs at Singhu Border.

A video has also emerged where the song ‘Sandese Aate Hain’ from the Bollywood film Border is often heard playing on a loudspeaker. Heavy security deployment also can be seen within the video

The farmer union has also demanded that the Delhi Police release those farmers arrested after the Republic Day violence, resumption of water, washrooms, and internet services at the protest sites, among others.

Farmers’ protest sites at Delhi’s borders have become fortresses on Monday as police beefed up security and strengthened barricades.

Workers under the watch of police personnel were seen hooking iron rods between two rows of cement barriers on a flank of the most highway at the Singhu border to further restrict the movement of protesters, agitating against the new farm laws.

Another portion of the highway at the Delhi-Haryana border is practically blocked now as a makeshift cement wall has come up there.
