The wrestler Davey Boy Smith jr. was recently interviewed by Alistair McGeorge for Metro. During the interview, he spoke about his current conversations with WWE and his potential to come to NXT. Smith Jr. revealed that there have been talks with WWE to get back into the company. He even commented that he knew there were plans for his arrival at NXT UK.
There has been a lot of interest and several talks between both parties, he commented. I think the plan, or what they were hoping for, was for it to come to NXT UK, but unfortunately, right now due to COVID-19 those doors are somewhat closed. However, we’ll see. There is also an interest in me being in NXT, here in Orlando. I live here in Tampa, Florida, so I have been testing the waters. We are discussing and negotiating. I cannot say anything for sure, but there have been conversations with WWE he said, Smith.
As for where he could fit in going into WWE, Davey Boy Smith Jr. commented that there is interest in being part of the NXT cast, although it really isn’t something that worries him.
With my father’s induction into the Hall of Fame, it might be a good idea to go back to WWE whatever the brand. It is not a decision you have to make. I know Natalya is on SmackDown and she could go there; or being part of NXT, which is certainly a good place to reestablish, he commented. There is a lot of talent there. People like Carrion Kross, Timothy Thatcher, or Finn Balor who I have fought before in New Japan Pro Wrestling. We will have to wait and see what the best option is.
