Halloween is near but most of us would be staying indoors this year due to the present Covid-19 pandemic situation. So, what’s better to do when staying at home? Netflix and Chill of course. And since its Halloween, one not so horror movie yet a Halloween classic comes to our mind. Can you guess what it is?
Yes! Its Beetlejuice. Millions watch this 1988 movie every year on Halloween. The plot of this fantasy comedy directed by Tim Burton revolves around a recently deceased couple (Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis). After becoming ghosts, they start haunting their former home, and tries to scare away the new inhabitants. They have Beetlejuice as their team member who is an obnoxious, devious poltergeist from the Netherlands.
The movie also has an outstanding cast on-board which includes Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis and Annie McEnroe. We can also see Winona Ryder who is famous for her role in Netflix’s own Stranger Things.
However, if you got excited to watch this movie this Halloween there is bad news for you guys. Beetlejuice is not streaming on Netflix in every region. Its only available in Hong Kong, Russia, South Korea and Thailand. But in the majority of regions it isn’t available.
Why isn’t Beetlejuice streaming on Netflix US?
We can point out some reasons for which the movie might not be available on Netflix.
Firstly, we need to understand, Netflix gets its content by purchasing the licenses to stream them for a certain period of months. People want to watch Beetlejuice mainly on Halloween, the time when the owner company Warner Bros would charge the highest amount of money.
Many of us anticipated that most of the Warner Bros titles would appear in HBO Max in 2020. However, that has not been the case. Maybe we might see it there in the future, but for now Beetlejuice is still not there.
How can we watch the movie if not on Netflix?
You can surely buy or rent the movie in all the usual places. You can also check out Amazon Video, Google Play, iTunes and many more.
We saw how Beetlejuice used to appear whenever he was called, however the excited audience cannot get a hold of it on Netflix.
