Good Girls Season 5

The stranger the story, the more we hear about Good Girls‘ cancellation before Season 5. This is how we find ourselves today in our reporting.

For a long time, there were signs pointing to a renewal. Negotiations were progressing well for an eight-episode finale season. Not only that, but Retta, Christina Hendricks and Mae Whitman were willing to take a pay cut in order to complete the story.

Here is where things get a little weird. According to the aforementioned report, renewal hopes were stalled in June due to negotiations between Manny Montana and Rio. NBC found it difficult to make financials work after these negotiations stalled. The show-stopped moving forward. This could be the reason money is being used to stop a series.

Although the site mentions the possibility of a strained relationship, it seems that most of what is being discussed is speculation. It’s possible Montana wanted to move on or wasn’t willing to accept what was offered. According to one source, it almost doesn’t matter. The network used the situation as an excuse to end the show. This seems to be the main reason that the show is ending. Although NBC was willing to bring back the show to please fans, they were not entirely crazy about the idea. Would they not have fought harder for a final season if they truly wanted it? We like to believe so.
