India has decided to field a total of 24 wrestlers for the individual wrestling World Cup. It also includes the names of Olympic medalist Sakshi Malik and world championship winners Ravi Kumar Dahiya and Deepak Punia. All these players will take part in the World Cup in Belgrade from 12 to 18 December. However, India’s star wrestlers like Bajrang Punia, Jitender, Somveer and Vinesh Phogat will not be included in this tournament.

The Government of India has given approval for participation in this tournament to be held at the place of World Championship and has allocated a budget of 90 lakh rupees for it.
