Hi All, I'm trying to develop a JApplet that displays swing components with English and Arabic text. Now if I changed the Regional settings on my PC to Arabic, then the Applet works fine. But once I changed the setting to English, then the Arabic text got corrupted. I need to run the Applet to get the same format, regardless of the PC'setting. I've included the below lines to set the Locale, but nothing changed Locale locale1 = new Locale("ar", "SA"); Locale.setDefault(locale1); I've added the permission to set the default in the policy file as well. Pls help. Thanks in adva   More>>

Hi All,

I'm trying to develop a JApplet that displays swing components with English and Arabic text. Now if I changed the Regional settings on my PC to Arabic, then the Applet works fine.

But once I changed the setting to English, then the Arabic text got corrupted.

I need to run the Applet to get the same format, regardless of the PC'setting.

I've included the below lines to set the Locale, but nothing changed

Locale locale1 = new Locale("ar", "SA");

Locale.setDefault(locale1);

I've added the permission to set the default in the policy file as well.

Pls help.
Thanks in advance.
