ArrayList is an growthable size

With respect to performance array is recommended to use
Relatively low performance

Homogenious data element
Homogenious + Hetrogenious  data element in ArrayList.

Array Can hold both primitive and Objects
ArrayList is hold only Objects

An array is a data-structure that holds objects.

An ArrayList is an object, that internally uses an array to store things, but has conventient methods to get things from and to put things into the array.
