Hi!
When does the commit()occur in case of container managed transaction?

Does the user have any means of specifying when the commit should occur, either programatically or through deployment descriptor?

regards,
Hemanth

There's two TA models in EJB: bean-managed (BMT) and container-managed (CMT). With BMT you specify TA demarcation in the code, whereas with CMT you can specify it declaratively for each method via the deployment descriptor.

For further info see the EJB 2.0 spec, ch. 17.
