I am a beginner in JSP and Java.

I want to upload image files (*.jpg, *.gif) with JSP.

1. Should I use enctype="multipart/form-data" attribute in the

tag ?

2. Does it act the same way as in PHP4 that copies the uploaded file to the server's TEMP directory ?

If it does, where do JSP save the file ?

Or should I use FileInputStream / FileOutputStream to upload the file manually ?

I think you can find the answer to your question here. The answer describes the solution for Servlets but in JSP is works the same way.
