I am writing a java based FTP client application(using sockets) which connects to an FTP server(IIS inbuilt).
When a network failure occurs during upload process, the file instead of being saved in the ftp server(although incompletely) is being deleted. If no network failure occurs then it is uploading completely.
Why is the file being deleted.
Can anyone help.Please it's Urgent.

I imagine that's an implementation detail of the server, whether it wants to keep a partially transferred file or not. For instance it could be doing an "atomic update" e.g. writing to a temporary file, and only moving the temporary file to the real filename after the transfer is completed successfully.
