I am tryingto capture a very big String (say upto 4 GB in size) from the front-end thru a text box. When I try to capture the same into a String variable it shows the following exception

java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01704: string literal too long

Now, what shud I do. Because String variable cant hold such big a data. I was trying to use oracle.sql.CLOB datatype. But the problem is I dont know how to initialise it. if I initialize it with null, it gives null pointer exception at run time. Can anyone help me out.... its urgent....

Thanks in advance
