Is there any way at all i can read the MAC address of a machine in a pure java solution (i dont want to use JNI for this until there is absolutely no other alternative). I need to tie a user to a particular machine only and plan to use MAC address for it.


Has anyone any solution ?

What about machines with more than one MAC address? (2 network cards etc.) What about machines with no MAC address? (dialup PPP over modem?)
