I just got an installed my first version of linux. I was wondering where I could get a new SDK so I can get to work. Problem is Sun keeps telling me I've made a bad request when I try to download it from there. Does anyone know where I might get another copy (1.4 preferred).

I'm not sure this sis what you're looking for but try:

www.blackdown.org

and

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/download.html

(that last one was the featured download when I read this post....)

You could always subscribe to the Java Jumpstart program. That way for 49USD per year you get sent, four times a year, all of the apis, docs and a host of other stuff from the Sun site. This arrives on either a single DVD or 4/5 CDs. Good value for money. Search around on 'java.sun.com' for details.

Regards.
