IE 5.1 running on Mac OS X does not load applets...

From documents it seems that Internet explorer 5.1 on mac OS X should support java applet. My mac OS X version is 10.1.5. But on my IE5.1, applets just do not show up. I looked into the Java message window, it is empty.

Does anybody know what the problem is? How can I view java applet on mac OS X's browsers?

After IE is started, check "Enable Java" on the page of "Java" in "Internet Explorer Preferences" (Explore -> preferences -> "Java").
