I am having problems with a signed applet I have written. It works fine on Win2000, XP and NT 4.0 but when I run it on Win98 I get an error. String commandString = "C://ezlink.bat"; Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(commandString); p.waitFor(); The above code is the offending part of the applet. when I run it on Win98 I get the following error: java.io.IOException: CreateProcess at java/lang/Win32Process.shellExec at java/lang/Win32Process. at java/lang/Runtime.execInternal at java/lang/Runtime.exec at java/lang/Runtime.exec at InstallApplet.actionPerformed at java/awt/Button.processActionEvent at java/awt/   More>>

Does anyone have a method of executing a program from an applet in Win98.

I am getting the same IOException with my process as well. Maybe somebody can help us both out.
