Why parsing[/tokenizing] is on a vector (one dimension: stream of characters, stream of tokens)?
Couldn't it be extended to multi-dimensions, such a matrix of tokens? (not necessarily character lexemas neither tokens) or graphs? (a graph-walker)
In that case, LL(k1,k2,k3,...,kn) where n=number of dimensions. Thanks! Daniel.

What would be the point of parsing on multiple dimensions?

Tree grammars actually parse over two dimensions, any node could be followed by a sibling or a child or both. You specify in the grammar what you are expecting.
