Why is it important to follow JavaBeans naming convention?

Hi.

Another very good reason for following a convention is because... everybody else does.

This may seem flippant but it isn't. Thankfully, very strong conventions were taken up early by the Java community and this only makes for less distraction when reading code written by others.

Regards,

Lance

Because automatic tools will want to assume they can make a "getFoo()"/"setFoo()" method call, for the value of a JavaBean with property "foo".
