Is there a way to set the remote address in a HTTP request?

(This is the value that HttpServletRequest.getRemoteAddr() returns.)

What part of a HTTP request is the remote address in?

The documentation I have read on the HTTP 1.1 protocol doesn't indicate if the remote address is part of the general header, request header, or message body.

It is likely to be set and retrieved on TCP level, i can't thing of a reason why it would be a part of an HTTP header or request body.

Because of that, I can't also think of a realistic way (rather than brutal monkeying with TCP packets) of changing that address.
