Is there a way within ANT to determine that a target/step has failed and, if so, to conditionally proceed to other target(s)/step(s) without ANT bailing out (i.e. give me a chance to "Clean Up")?

The ant-contrib project at Sourceforge has a // task container that would do the trick. Or you could do some stuff with a BuildListener to clean up things conditionally on a build failure.
