Yeesh. I'd typed in a full question, but my session timed out before I finished. :-)



Now for a shorter one.



I'm trying to get webcam (video CaptureDevice) support in JMF working under Windows and Linux, trouble is the sample code provided for capturing video under JMF doesn't report and video devices, whether my camera is connected or not.



I presume this is because JMF doesn't include a CaptureDevice for Video4Windows, so I thought I'd ask to see if anyone knew of any that worked.

Okay, I'm getting somewhere at least. Naive me didn't check out the JMFRegistry application. So at least I have the camera working under Linux now, and the problem for Windows is different.

Now, JMStudio under Windows is showing a black window when I select RGB format, and a magenta window when I select YUV format. The driver still isn't working like it should, any ideas?
