This is an elementary request for you, but I am porting over a few JSPs and a servlet to iPlanet Web Server 6.0 from Websphere. Servlets are enabled. When I ported the JSPs over, however, they generate errors when accessed in the browser. Servlets are enabled and running in other applications on this server. This is the first JSP. On the Java tab, under Enable/Disable Servlets/JSP everything is checked. In the error log, here is the error that is generated: [09/Jul/2002:13:15] info ( 151): Internal Info: loading servlet /employee/EmpLocator.jsp [09/Jul/2002:13:15] failure ( 151): Internal error: Unexpected error condition thrown (java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: sun/tools/javac/Main,sun/tools/javac/Main), stack: j   More>>

Thank you!

Your JSP engine is telling you that it can't find the compiler.

Do you have the JAVA_HOME environment variable pointing, for the iPlanet configuration/startup, to the J2SE SDK location (with tools.jar for the compiler), rather than just to the JRE (just the runtime)?
