Hi to all.
I'm using Tomcat 3.3.2 (standalone) on Linux RH and I've got a terrible problem.

II want to access to Tomcat's ROOT using port 80 (no other server runs on this port) , so I've edited server.xml but ... Tomcat now could run only html pages, jsp pages generate many parsing errors.

So Tomcat is running (nmap confirms that) on port 80, but hates JSP and Servlets ! (On port 8080 everything OK!)

Thanks!

Are you running Tomcat as user root?

I think a combination of Apache (on port 80) and Tomcat (on port 8080 or something different) is the better solution in a productive environment.
