From java code i am connecting to oracle database...after some time i am getting this error



javax.servlet.ServletException: ORA-00020: maximum number of processes (59) exceeded..



I dont know how to go about it...
please let me know if you have a solution for the problem

Make sure you close all connections properly. This could be the source of your problem...

This looks like you have exceeded the max # of processes set for oracle database. Look for initXXX.ora file (under /oracle/product/8.1.5/dbs or maybe elsewhere) where XXX is the service_name (SID). There is an entry like:

processes = 50


You can change this to something higher and re-start oracle to take effect.

I am no oracle guru but you probably may also want to tune/change other oracle parameters.
