Java Mail ContentTypes...Though the MimeMessage holds the ContentType as multipart/related....

I have a MimeMessage in which it has the contentType as "multipart/related"... Its like Message-ID: <4660784.1016358757019.JavaMail.vinay@IN01054VIN> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/related; name=MimeMessage.xml; boundary="----=_Part_0_7947172.1016358756722" When i try to get the content type like... Message message = new MimeMessage(session); System.out.println(message.getContentType()); its displaying in the console the content type as text/Plain instead of multipart/related.. why is it so???????    More>>

When i try to get the content type like...

Message message = new MimeMessage(session);

System.out.println(message.getContentType());


its displaying in the console the content type as text/Plain

instead of multipart/related..

Am I missing something here...new MimeMessage(session) creates an empty message. So you are getting content type of a blank message.
