When I use JDBC to query Oracle date format, I get the default date format of
'YYYY-MM-DD HH MI SS'. Is it possible to change the default format that JDBC uses
globally without having to apply a specific format mask to each date field? Oracle
allows date formats to be changed through the use of NLS_DATE_FORMAT environment
variable, but it seems as if JDBC formatting takes precedence regardless of what this
parameter is set to.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to globally change the date format in Oracle
using JDBC, I would greatly appreciate it.
