Debugging a JAR file?

I use an ant script to compile my project. The program is made into a few jar files in a separate directory. How can I debug my program using IntelliJ? I assume I have to launch the jar file somehow, but I can't figure it out. If I just put the main class in the Application section of the debug window, I get an error that says the main class could not be found.

Thanks for the help.

All you need is include the result JAR into the IDEA project Classpath and then specify the class to debug in the Run/Debug Configuration opened by pushing the Run/Debug Configuration button (at the IDE toolbar with the down arrow). If your JAR compiled with debug information you will able to debug it.

Best regards, Stanislav
