How do I use replaceregexp to find matching lines, and completely remove them? The code I used below leaves a blank line for each line that it matches.

byline="true"
flags="i,s"
match="^.*.(gif|jpg|js|ram)^.*"
replace="">

Write an ant task extends ReplaceRegExp, add a property, make minor changes, then it will work your way.
