Hi Gurus,
I have put such kind of code in WEB-INF/web.xml
but then I restart tomcat, and try to access my page
like http://localhost:8000/ it was ok before, but after I add the following code in web.xml. the ie display a default 404 error page of tomcat,what is wrong for that ?

Hi,

After adding these lines,did you get any error in restarting?any way please follow the below mentioned order in declaring your elements in web.xml.


"(icon?,display-name?,description?,distributable?,context-param*,servlet*,servlet-mapping*,session-config?,mime-mapp
ing*,welcome-file-list?,error-page*,taglib*,resource-ref*,security-constraint*,login-config?,secur
ity-role*,env-entry*,ejb-ref*)".



Your should be declared before ,if you can paste your web.xml here,i'll try to give you exact solution.
