Hi:

From documents it seems that Internet explorer 5.1 on mac OS X should support java applet. My mac OS X version is 10.1.5. But on my IE5.1, applets just do not show up. I looked into the Java message window, it is empty. I then downloaded and installed Mozilla 1.0 and the latest MRJPluginCarbon-1.0. This time, Mozilla message bar displayed "applet not initialized". I checked the java console window, it displayed "java.security.AccessControlexception:access denied(java.net.Soketermission......)". Does anybody know what the problem is? How can I view java applet on mac OS X's browsers?

thanks

This must be an applet that you have created. If that's the case then you need to sign your applet or add the site to your trusted sites list. Even then it's best to sign it.
