I've a problem running 2 instances of the same java application
in redhat linux 6.x.
The java application uses AudioClip class to play the audio.
when i try running the same application twice in the same
machine, only one instance is visible.
After I kill one of the instances the 2nd instances pops up.
I cldnt understand y the same java application cant share the same audio drivers in linux...
if anyone can help me in this regard.. it could b great.

I think your problem is probably stemming from the os not your app.
Linux does not like letting multiple applications share audio resources at the same time.
One option might be to try and set up your application so it shares one access point to the audio resources but multiple clips can be submitted. It isn't as if you are going to play multiple pieces of audio at once anyways.
