Problem in saving objects in an applet to a file

Respected Sir

I am doing an project in java applets where in i will have to save the objects in to a file..after seing a code here where the objects could be saved in .ser file i tried it out but it cannot be used in applets. Hence i am really confused and want to know is their any way in which i can save the objects in an applet to a file.

You have two options:

1) Edit the java.policy file found in your JRE installation folder (for example C:Program FilesJavaj2re1.4.0libsecurity). In this file, you can explicitly give applets permission to read/write (or both).

2) Sign the applet using a code signing certificate. Then it will by default be granted permission to handle files. You can either purchase a certificate or use a self-signed.
