Intellij installation fails on Win2000

A colleague of mine downloaded Intellij Idea 2.5.2 and got a 21-day-license key.

When he doubleclicks the exe file to install, the installer comes up. At the point where he has to agree to the license agreement, he checks this option and clicks the Next button. Nothings happens anymore.

Anyone with the same problem and a solution? There is no hint whatsoever. The installation simply stops, the installer window stays open.

This is especially strange since I have done this procedure a fortnight ago without any problems.

Most likely the default JDK on your system is 1.4. Uninstall it and make JDK 1.3.1 the default. Then run the installation again. You can also download the zipped distribution and install it manually.
