Source Safe integration problem

When I check in my code to source safe, it does not update my local code with the latest version (i.e. the version info doesn't change). Get latest version from within IDEA doesn't work either. I have to get out of IDEA and get latest directly from VSS. Is this a bug, do I have an incorrect setting, or what?

What are the settings for the SS client and config?
