I'm a young french, and i discover the engine of lucene.
I haven't understand the way to realize an index file and to put something in.

If someone could send me his source code for indexing html pages, I could analyze it and understand why it couldn't work with me.

Lucene comes with a demo (IndexDemo), which indexes files.
That should help you get started.
