When a rmi client program is compiled it is giving an error saying that remote interface type not found. We are copying remote interface class file to the client and also the remote stub of the remote interface implementation class. When the client looks up for remote object he actually gets the stub only. But still why should we copy the stub to client. While developing the big applications also shall we copy the remote interface class file and remote stub to the clients or is there any other way.

Srihari -

Hi! Once the remote interface and stub files have been copied over to the client - you will then need to include the these files on your client's classpath!

Hope this helps!
