Anybody know what's up the with the extreme lag time in IDEA when file status changes outside of the editor? I'm trying use SCCS source control in UNIX with IDEA on NT and it takes as much as 1 minute for IDEA to update the status of the file if I check it out, delete, etc from source control.

Is there a trick I don't know about to force IDEA to just re-read a single individual file from disk? The "Synchronizing files..." message takes forever.
