Can anyone offer some insight on using Mac OS X versus Windows or Linux as a development platform?


I am considering switching to OS X for developement, but have not used Macs in the past. It looks interesting, but looks can be deceiving. I am currently using NT 2000 and running IntelliJ Idea.



Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I also switched to Mac OS X. The only problem is the delay in JDk 1.4 but apparently thats coming with the Jaguar release.


You can run IntelliJ on macs, and Netbeans, Emacs, vi, and Eclipse.
