I am using a seperate web container and ejb container and have a question about the ejb context. At login, the user supplies credentials that are used by the web container to set the InitialContext and retrieve a remote handle to a stateful session bean. This handle is then stored in the HttpSession object using the Servlet Session Tracking API. The servlet that is called next by the same user gets the remote handle from its HttpSession and uses it to retrieve the EJB object. At login, the user supplies credentials that are used by the web container to

this object? If I initially set the credentials for "UserA" should I
always be able to call "getCallerPrincipal" on this object and retrieve
"UserA"? If "UserB" logs in, sets InitialContext and gets a handle to the
stateful session bean, would that affect the ejb context of "UserA"?

I am using iPlanet Enterprise Edition 4.1 for our web container and WebLogic
server 6.1 SP2 for our ejb container.

Gene,

I would say that yes to the first question, but, on the second question, I would say that "UserB" maybe affect the ejb context of "UserA". Not sure though.
