I'd like to know if there are tools which permit to reverse a Java application in order to obtain the UML sequences diagrams. I know that Rational and Together can bring out the static view of an application but they don't give the dynamic view. Does anyone know a tool that can do such thing?
Thanks!

The most powerfull tool I have tried is j2u , you can generate sequence diagrams (XMI format) just using your application.
A trial version can be downloaded here : www.nasra.fr

together can give you dynamic as well as static view of the system. I am sure rational will to although I have not used it. in together, when you have a static view of the system, you can generate a sequence diagram starting from a given method. I have done it many times so I know that you can.
