I understand that the means to store persistent data using J2ME is RMS. J2me does not work with JDBC. But with the advent of databases like Oracle 9i lite specifically for mobile devices is there a way to establish connectivity with the database on the device without using servlets?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Gupta,

You are right, but with servlets you can have your J2ME client talk to a database quite comfortably.

But I understand that MIDP2.0 will adderss this.(Inside info)

Thanx,
Venkatesh.
