Hi,
What kind of order can I depend on while parsing an xml file using a DOM parser? In my application, I look for specific xml tags and collect them into lists prior to processing the lists. This is causing a lot of memory to be used up just for storing the data temporarily. I would like to parse based on a depth first/width first traversal order such that I know ahead of time what node I can expect next and that way, I can get rid of the temporary lists that I am keeping.
Thanks!

DOM will use a lot of memory and there is nothing you can do about that. it will load entire XML file into a DOM object. so if memory is concern, use SAX.
