JNI and WebSphere EJB

I have a Java client application that accesses a session EJB; I need that the EJB use server-side java classes that gain acess to native code thru JNI.

I know that EJB specifications prohibit this operation for security reasons, but I think the feasibility depends on container implementation. For instance, WebLogic allows the use of JNI from a container.

Can anyone tell me if WebSphere also permits that?

Thanks in advance
