the createScreenCapture() method of java.awt.Robot class captures the screen shot of the current system. But i want to know how to caputre the screen shot of other systems.

i would be greatful, if anyone can help me. thank you, in advance.

This is what I would do. I would create an RMI class that would run on the desired computer to capture the screen shot, and have a method which would return to the calling method a BufferedImage object, which you could then display on your local system. you can't just remotely capture screen shots with the Robot class you have to have some code running on the target machine you want to capture from. The awt.Image class can not be sent over the network but the ImageIcon class can be. If you are still having trouble I think I can dig up my implementation of this and send it to you. I think i have it on a disk somewhere. good luck.
