How does JAR cache work in IDEA? Is it possible to 'purge' cache?


The problem is that when building JAR-file with another IDEA instance (or by college) main IDEA does not refresh JAR contents, thus preventing compilation with fresh versions of classes.


The only (current) resolution is restart IDEA...

It's not a cache problem. Currently IDEA locks all used .jar files. This will be fixed in the next major version (Ariadna).
