Does 3.0 provide better support to run the router as a component inside of an app server?


We are currently using JBoss as the base container for all of the components which run in our distributed network. I remember that with the 2.x serious there was not direct suppot to run as a component (with out simply calling main() and then using the CLI to talk to it).


Has this been changed? Any plans to provide a JMX compatible interface?

A no for your first question. SwiftMQ isn't designed to run embedded. It is itself a container and can run Swiftlets (with hot deployment!). So why not running JBoss inside SwiftMQ? ;-)


A JMX Swiftlet will come (don't know when).
