Monitoring a mailbox for new mail on POP3

Hi, I am trying to monitor a mailbox for any new mail using POP3. I use the example provided by java mail for monitoring the mailbox but it is not working in the sense that it does not read any new mail message. I don't get any errors either. Please help.

POP only supports a single process having write access to mailbox. While you have the mailbox open, the server can't deliver new messages.
