Hi all,

I was trying to maximize a window or a frame with JDK 1.2 or 1.3.

Currently I use JDK 1.3.1, but when I am trying to use the method

frame.setSize(frame.getMaximumSize());

The window is only displayed full-screen, but not MAXIMIZED , which means, the maximize-button in the upper right hand corner of the window is still available for maximizing the window.

Anyone who could help me with this, please?

Thanks in advance,
ERIC

It is possible to do it using Java 1.4.using the setExtendedState(MAXIMISED_BOTH) function.

Heres a sample...

public class SampleFrame extends Frame
{

public static void main(String args[])
{
SampleFrame samp = new SampleFrame();

samp.setVisible(true);
samp.setExtendedState(MAXIMIZED_BOTH);

}

}
