I am using JSP 1.1., websphere 3.5.3, servlets 2.2

I am using hrefs to submit the forms in the JSP which are then submitted to servlets and then the processing begins. Here the problem that I am facing is that if I click the href in quick succession then the form is submitted twice one after the other. But since the servlet is still processing the first request it is not able to get hold of the HTTPSession object and/or other resources as a result of which the processing fails. I have tried a couple of small javascript tricks and all but nothing really works. I need to stop the form from submitting twice.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Try this Javascript resource

Maybe you need better Javascript tricks! Try looking at http://www.gatescript.com/ex_forms_.html. I've seen at least one "stop user from hitting submit again" script.
